Thibault Villa was built by Claudine's parents, Robert and Cecile Thibault in 1952/1953. It was the first house built for miles around in post-war torn France. It was the first with indoor plumbing and more "modern" features for the time.
Robert, then 46, was a popular mayor and a successful businessman. But he had never owned his own home. So he took great pride in having the architect design something grand and expressive.
